Col. Elizabeth H. Duque
Col. Elizabeth H. Duque assumed command of the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity, Fort Drum, N.Y., on July 18, 2025. Prior to her new role she served as the Director, Readiness and Health Integration, G-357, MEDCOM in Falls Church, Virginia.
COL Duque is Navy brat spending most of her childhood in Annapolis, MD. She received her commission from Army ROTC at Lehigh University in 1999 and her Medical Degree from the Uniformed Services University in 2003. Following medical school, COL Duque completed her Family Medicine Residency at Fort Hood, Texas, in 2006 and then her Geriatrics Fellowship at Madigan Army Medical Center in 2010. She is a graduate of the U.S. Army Medical Department Officer Basic and Advanced Course, the Combined Arms and Services Staff School, and the U.S. Army War College. COL Duque holds her B.S. in Molecular Biology, M.D. from the Uniformed Services University, M.B.A. from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and an active member of the Uniformed Services Academy of Family Physicians.
COL Duque’s past assignments include medical director, Hohenfels Health Clinic, Hohenfels, Germany; 1-94 BN Surgeon in Romania; Family Medicine Residency staff and clinic OIC in Fort Cavazos, Texas; Chief of the Department of Primary Care at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss, Texas; Commander, Dunham U.S. Army Health Clinic at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania; 1st TSC Command Surgeon in Fort Knox, Kentucky; Deputy Corps Chief; Medical Corps in Falls Church, VA; and Deputy, Readiness and Health Integration Division at USAMEDCOM.
COL Duque has deployed to Iraq with the 10th CSH, 1st MEDBDE, and served on missions to Romania, Bulgaria, and Uganda.
Her awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (4 Awards), the Army Commendation Medal (3 Awards), the Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, the Iraq Campaign Medal (2 Campaign Stars), and the Order of the Military Medical Merit.
